soul mate?
my first post. thanks to a dear friend of mine who made it possible for me to start blogging. *hope this will encourage u to write more often as well ;)*
let me begin with the highlight of the day.as i went home with my kind neighbour this evening, we're involved in this endless-and-always-interesting topic about 'soul mate'. he asked me first how come i don't have any plan yet to 'tie the knot' with my current boyfriend whereas we're both at the ideal marriage age and financially ready. ... my first answer was something like this... 'i think i'm not ready yet cause i have other priorities that i want to achieve before i am committed to something bigger.' ... but then as the conversation grew, he mentioned this more acceptable reason which got my agreement right away. he guessed that i just haven't met the right guy - with whom i might get along very well, for whom i will feel a lot of affection and with whom i will feel confident to share the life through better or worse, till death do us apart... *sounds too perfect, doesn't it?* according to him, our feelings will tell at the time we meet that mr/ms right.
...do u believe in soul mate existence? i mean, is there really a soul mate for each person in this big universe? should we wait for his/her appearance? how if it gonna takes forever to wait? on the contrary, perhaps we cannot find the right person - voila! - just like that. perhaps a lot of efforts should be taken to create the soul mate itself in order to achieve a solid relationship with our partner.
well, i'm not sure which one is truer. those are just my curious-and-still-try-to-figure-out-things thought. i will know in time... or maybe it's not intended to be understood at all. like meg ryan said in "you've got mail", 'i just want to send these cosmic questions out into the void.' so goodnight, dear void...
